Culture Clash

At the age of 5, I moved to Mitchell. I was in Kindergarden at the time and didn't know anybody in the school. My teacher introduced me to the class and I made a bunch of new friends. This also was the first time that I remember meeting somebody of a different culture. The kids name was Kyle, his family adopted him from Korea. It was so wierd, seeing he had different skin color, and his face had squinty eyes, but I didn't know any difference. To me he was a new friends at my school who I played with at recess and went to his house to play.

Life Changing Experience

Joining Soccer is something that has changed my life and taught me many things. I joined soccer when i was in First Grade. Right away soccer helped me meet new kids, that I became friends with. Through the years, me and the friends I made in first grade, had gained lots of talent and became close. At only eight years old I was playing on a traveling U-12 team. At this point I was tought competiton, before i was playing cause it was fun, and now I had something to play for. As I got older the team got better, with most of our tallent in the grade above me. We played together and won several tournaments but then Middle School came, and soccer became a school sport. I did not play soccer my 7th and 8th grade year, but in 9th grade I rejoined. The same kids that i played with before are all the same kids that have made the team and we were back together. My freshman year i made the Varsity Team that went to the State Tournament. Even though i did not get to play i learned a lot form my older teammates. Sophmore year then I was bigger and better, i was on the varsity team again but was not a starter untill halfway through the season, we made it two the championship game that year but were beat by Sioux Falls Christian. My junior year I was a starter, and this was our most tallented team yet. We did not lose a game all year and were the number one team. In the State Tournament Bad weather caught us and we lost our semi-final game by one point to Sioux Falls Christian again. In the next game I learned my first bit of leadership. A senior captain was down after loosing the previous game and coach took him out cause he showed no effort. I played my heart out this game and the coach noticed even though a series of bad calls lost the game for us.

Earliest Memory

My erliest memory is from when i was only one. Ok here the details, My moms family went to Disney world, her 3 brothers, sister, parents, and me at the age of 1. I don't remember many details from this but what i do remember is that my Grandpa was pushing me in a stroller all day. I remember stopping by the entrance and a rollercoaster going by waterfountain. Also while we were still in the park I took a picture with donald duck. Once we were done at the amusement park we went back to a condo, where i remember just sitting there and watching everybody.
